Material: isolation plastic, concrete, oil color.

Skarfur, fuglinn sem breiðir út vængina til að þurrka þá er sterk í minningunni minni sem barni frá Eyrarbakka. Oft sat ég lengi í gamla sjóhliðinu og dáðist að þeim.

Material: clay , iron, wood , concrete.

Hænur eru í sérstöku uppáhaldi hjá mér og minningar t.d. þegar ég var að reyna að setja á þær sjal og húfur í hænsnakofanum hennar ömmu. Þær voru yfirleitt mjög óþekkar og vildu ekki sitja kyrrar þegar ég kom með flotta bollastellið til að bjóða þeim uppá tesopa.

Music for wanderer, cows and birds

Material: Wire grid, plaster, gouache, acryl, acryl thread, projectors.

Inspired by the expression in the photographs of the museum of Eyrarbakki, by the sounds of birds, by the cowshed and its history, by nothingness. Blurred afterimages emerge. Forming anew like the constant change in nature and people.

Images whose colourfulness tells of the gap that opens up, comparable to words that try to grasp what is in motion. A short mirage.

The Sacred Thornes

Nothing looks more dead, lifeless than stones. But may be there is a very close relationship between the rocks and life. It can be that rocks is the matter that has lead to life. Life since 4 milliards years, stones are closely link to life. Stones were given freely like a music and light for the Souls. Unfortunately they are often badly used. Finally some stones start to protect themselves

The Opening

Stones are like books. It is the origin of this land. You can read them like a book. Opening a stone and read what is inside. When a stone is open, something get free and goes away. Lucky a trace is left. A old symbol of illusion and de illusion appears In this stone.

"Hafsjór Variations" / "Hafsjór Tilbrigdi"

Materials:

sound

coins

wool

wool yarn

plastic remnants

animal bones

maritime signal flags

The work consists of seven variations about the title of exhibition.

"Hafsjór" means "ocean" and also "plentitude". All pieces, although very different in their character and atmosphere, come from the same origin - the word "Hafsjór".

Ikizuku MORI

Materials charcoal, acrylic, pastel, gesso.

Hello Eyrarbakki

and Everyone participating in OCEANUS.

I deliver two paintings inspired from the forest where I live.

The title of the pictures is "Ikizuku MORI".

It gives a glimpse of living with forest.

Beautiful coincidences and inevitabilities woven by nature.

My mind goes back and forth between abstract and concrete.

This primitive feeling has no borders and exists in every country in the world,

I could feel it in Eyrarbakki.
